Saturn
Notes: Saturn is a CB245 image at f/20 taken January 26th. The exposure is 0.1 sec using ND96 moon filter. Dark frame was subtracted, 10 images were registered and added. No other processing was done. The Iris image was saved as a bitmap, loaded into Photoshop LE and saved as a jpeg.

Subject:
M42
Notes:
The image, a small central area around the trapezium in M42, the great Orion Nebula, was imaged with my 8" LX-200 using the CB245 camera, with 2x barlow and ND96 moon filter, each exposure was 20 seconds. Imaging was done with win245, a windows version of the original Cookbook 245 application. Image processing was done with Iris, a product of the French Audine project and the American implementation of the Genesis camera. The final image is the product of the best 4 of the 20 images (I discovered the effects of vibration, much to my chagrin). 20 dark frames were median averaged, subtracted from each original image, then they were registered and added. The final image was exported to the jpeg format using Photoshop LE.
