In 1947 Miss Charlie Mary Noble organized the Junior Astronomy Club at the Fort Worth Children’s Museum (now the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History). One of the first amateur astronomy clubs in the United States, this group met once a week and stressed individual observation and reports.
