The real highlight of the meeting was getting to look at Larry Smith's Million Dollar Moon Rocks (no kidding!) that he got to display as part of the Space Camp program he attended last summer. (You may recall that last month he gave a program on his adventures there.) Six samples of moon rocks and soil were encased in the Lucite block that was passed around, and they appeared to have come from all over the moon. There was a piece as white as chalk, and another piece far blacker than charcoal. Also in the display was some of orange dust. It wasn't as orange as the fruit, but it was definitely orange.
