figures in the legend of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth.
Minos had a special relationship with Zeus, every nine years he would visit Zeus on Mt. Ida and recieve new laws to impose on his people. Later, after their deaths, Minos and his brother Rhadamanthys became the judges of men at the entrance to the underworld.
Taurus Trivia Taurus is believed to be one of the earliest recognized constellations because it marked the Vernal Equinox until around 1700BC. Also, of the eighty eight modern constellations, Taurus is the only one that undoubtedly represents one of the Greek pantheon of Gods, Zeus himself. Virgo, may be the goddess Demeter. All of the rest represent various demigods, mortals, beasts and things. Orion is generally portrayed as though he is about to strike Taurus, however, there is no mythological basis for this.
